The Epic Duels event at Gen Con 2010 (which no one took pictures of, so the existence of which is only verified by the people that attended!) made me realize how useful extra dice would be for Epic Duels. If it weren't for Roman Farraday's ton of extra dice, I wouldn't have been able to see as many players as I did.
Well after Gen Con I set out to get my own dice. After weeks of searching, I finally found Indented Blank Dice, a service for would-be game designers wanting easily customizable dice. Turns out their black dice are identical in form to our beloved ED die. Fifteen bucks got me twenty-five blank dice.
The relatively new site was still developing pre-cut sticker sheets and printing templates—I got on board as the final guinea pig before those products became commercially available. After some trial and error getting the templates to align to my printer, I was able to create some reasonable facsimilies of ED dice.
As you can see, I still have some color matching to do, but otherwise the results are pretty darn good. The seller informed be he had matte and glossy sticker paper, but I recieved only matte (it was free, whatchagonnado). He also said the stickers would be added to their store's website in a few days' time.
If you're interested in buying either replacement dice or replacement stickers, post a comment! Let me know how much you think these things are worth, how many you might need, and anything else you can think of. As soon as I work out pricing, I'll make both dice and stickers available for sale.
