Zuko is a Fire Nation Prince whose brashness earned him the disgrace of exile. He is consumed by "regaining his honor," which he believes may only be done by capturing the Avatar. He is mentored by his uncle Iroh, a retired General of the Fire Nation Army; after losing his own son, he wishes to save his nephew from a similar fate and does his best to act as a controlling influence on Zuko's raging hatred.
Prince Zuko

Re: Prince Zuko and Iroh
You're right on all counts Robert. My only problem with this deck is that Zuko loses so much if Iroh goes down. That's an unfortunate necessity of the design, so it's not really a problem, just something I think of every time I play this deck.

Re: Prince Zuko and Iroh
Another candidate for favorite deck to play (I dunno, maybe I like Fire Nation royalty), the dynamic between Zuko and Iroh is what makes this deck. Personally I prefer the raging hatred Zuko who draws cards on Sage Advice and powers up Burning Anger, but keeping him calm and taking advantage of Iroh's considerable offerings is a definite viable route as well.
Re: Prince Zuko and Iroh
Playtesting showed that limiting Burning Anger was absolutely necessary. With the Fire Blasts and Fire deck, Zuko still has an incredible damage output even with them limited to A7's; letting him stack on more was just brutal. Not sure whether you read or typed wrong, but it's Iroh cards you throw on Burning Anger -- potentially after he's dead and they are otherwise just taking up space in your hand. Thanks for the design compliment; I like it, too. :)
Re: Prince Zuko and Iroh
He really only loses movement, which isn't essential because he can attack at range. With Burning Anger, you don't lose much in the way of offense. And with 10 HP and the Sage deck, Iroh's hardly an easy take-down -- unless you've helped with drawing on Sage Advice.
