Katara and Sokka

Katara is a waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe who was the first to befriend Aang after his emergence from the iceberg.  Though not as naturally gifted at bending as Aang, her persistence and discipline lead her to become a Master Waterbender in her own right.  Her brother Sokka, not gifted with bending powers, instead relies on his resourcefulness and ingenuity -- and occasionally brute force.  To that end, he employs a variety of weapons including a sword forged from meteorite ore and his signature boomerang.

x1 Octo Defense D8*: *Subtract 2 from the defense value for every character adjacent to Katara.

Sokka

x2 Sword Mastery A8*/D8* You may only play this card against adjacent opponents. Draw a card.

Re: Katara and Sokka

It still marvels me to see how this deck came together. From my perspective it was just a rag-tag group of talent cards, but it grew on me. It's evocative of the characters, it's playable without being powerful, it even has a card called Boomerang!; my only problem with it would be that Sokka can't defend ranged attacks with his D8 (but really, when is that going to happen anyway?).

Re: Katara and Sokka

I love this deck!  Maybe I'm attached to the deck because these are two of my favorite characters, but I love both the design and the gameplay.  My one regret is that Sokka only gets 3 of the talents... but Katara's an awesome waterbender, so what can you do?

Re: Katara and Sokka

Because Sokka's mastery of the sword is gonna come in real handy when Azula blasts him w/ lighting from across the room, right? :P
